Corny Cornbread


This moist, slightly sweet cornbread is easy to make and a crowd pleaser!

CORNY CORNBREAD
6 T melted butter
2 C cornmeal
1 C flour
3 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 C buttermilk
1/2 of a 14-ounce can creamed corn

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Mix all ingredients together.  Grease a 9 x 9 pan.  Pour the cornbread mix into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until set in the middle.

  1. Is it supposed to be a 9x13 pan?? Put in a 9x9 and it's definitely not set in the middle. :/ Put in for an additional 15-20 minutes.

    1. Thank you for asking. I did put it in a 9 x 9 pan. I'm wondering if it's the difference in ovens. I have definitely tried other people's recipes that the cook time was wrong for my oven. I hope it turns out!
